In line with our environmental policy as an entertainment company of maintaining harmony with the environment to lead to customer delight and satisfaction far into the future, NAMCO BANDAI Games has organized an SBU Environmental Committee that conducts its environmental activities as the core company in the Game Contents SBU from the three standpoints of Eco Products, Eco Management and Eco Communication.
ECO PRODUCT
One example of our environmental approach at the product level, namely to provide Eco Products, is our establishment of an in-house subcommittee to advance environmentally friendly products. With the overriding aim of making all our products environmentally friendly, in January 2009 we formulated our Manufacturing Standards Version 1.0, which ensure a wide variety of environmental standards are incorporated in our product specifications.

ECO MANAGEMENT

An example of one of our environmental initiatives linked to our business activities — Eco Management — is the Games for Fun and a Beautiful Earth campaign that we launched in January 2009. In this initiative, we offset the electricity used by customers to play the campaign video games by procuring the same amount of green electricity.
This approach of incorporating an environmental initiative into sales promotion activities for home-use video game software is the first of its kind in the entertainment industry.
ECO COMMUNICATION
Examples of initiatives to educate employees about the environment (Eco Communication) include collecting employees’ used clothes for recycling, cleaning activities carried out alongside local residents and hosting of in-house test-preparation seminars to support the acquisition of Eco Test certification. Through these and other activities, we are working to improve the environmental awareness of each and every employee.

Going forward, NAMCO BANDAI Games will actively pursue its environmental activities, working toward a future in which the global society in which our customers live is a green and sustainable one.
